I still like this picture and I didn't know any of the "rules" when I took it. Do we really need to spend money on schooling that makes us so frustrated to know when a picture really captures something? You can't teach art or feelings or passion. Did I spend all that money to learn how to use a DSLR camera? I guess I did.Pixelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09119560288478363636noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1494577269246375202.post-25915109910867727512009-07-07T11:47:00.000-07:002009-07-07T12:33:01.064-07:00Re-entering the Blogging Universe<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhixXoAgAi4p4ViwuhTtFt6noD4tEbA_P3E9_qa335CAcGGPIAn5V0IvCaba4vAzNnYOsbBdQHB_yZMoFNkcLje8b8znV6LQObHjHB8mQ0zgtUkgukfqHULTo6kYvpAiLEFvD-LqEedRv01/s1600-h/flower.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 214px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5355792657177151634" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhixXoAgAi4p4ViwuhTtFt6noD4tEbA_P3E9_qa335CAcGGPIAn5V0IvCaba4vAzNnYOsbBdQHB_yZMoFNkcLje8b8znV6LQObHjHB8mQ0zgtUkgukfqHULTo6kYvpAiLEFvD-LqEedRv01/s320/flower.jpg" /></a><br /><div>OK OK OK I know... What happened to a photo a day? I told you once I'm lazy! I really am. I haven't made a valid attempt to take a photo a day. But I have taken some photos. I'll pick a few of my favorites and I'll try to get back on track this time. I guess the trick will be to start carrying my good camera around with me to remind me instead of having my p&s stuffed in my purse. I'm feeling disconnected from photography as of late. Ever since I finished school I've lost a lot of my interest in it. I almost appreciated it more when I didn't know what it was about a picture that I liked (what makes it good) and before I could pick it apart for all it's imperfections. Shouldn't photography just be, it's an artform, imperfections should be what makes it unique and not matter. I want to break the "rules" and enjoy myself in the process. There goes 5k out the window.</div>Pixelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09119560288478363636noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1494577269246375202.post-2008367169950014162009-06-02T09:52:00.000-07:002009-06-02T10:26:56.348-07:00Backyard Bliss pt 2<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht5POzAXptK9JCW8iTlueiRWrvy0l5v-E0ZRVUFbpshDmIJmAKmmBVaGOaw-SnxHdeX5Z_EPgFaLwXlXVQ4t2WoyEy4yRJaTTlmzXnh3HzTDP5gahTg-JcXKykBgQecaLWqzME9tTuxe1_/s1600-h/Ashton+in+garden.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342779091053781970" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 178px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht5POzAXptK9JCW8iTlueiRWrvy0l5v-E0ZRVUFbpshDmIJmAKmmBVaGOaw-SnxHdeX5Z_EPgFaLwXlXVQ4t2WoyEy4yRJaTTlmzXnh3HzTDP5gahTg-JcXKykBgQecaLWqzME9tTuxe1_/s320/Ashton+in+garden.jpg" border="0" /></a> So I got a little lazy - I'm only human right? I missed a couple of days as a result of working late nights and lacking serious energy during the day. I'm using photos from the same day in the back yard rather than deny you photos all together.<br /><br />In the first photo Ashton decided to climb right into the photo so I snapped one of him. No garden will steal his mommy's attention. If you care those are my peas, onions and carrotts that I planted myself. Who knew I could grow a garden?<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMiJpPDLxli59cyxCC_Kfzoo_QGNYg4IRY3PQguEQSePUTKlp7XfMxSAdlj8ji0m9lSM1XhBcyocxLm-Va2GK948oTJx1swilmlTh5C_DxxMARFMjhpvOBmzzJL2_rY8L8E_v6eDB6XIja/s1600-h/tree+trunk.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342780160483947842" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 214px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMiJpPDLxli59cyxCC_Kfzoo_QGNYg4IRY3PQguEQSePUTKlp7XfMxSAdlj8ji0m9lSM1XhBcyocxLm-Va2GK948oTJx1swilmlTh5C_DxxMARFMjhpvOBmzzJL2_rY8L8E_v6eDB6XIja/s320/tree+trunk.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />This is the flowering tree from my previous pictures. Trees are one of the most beautiful things in nature. Every tree has it's nooks and knots distinguishing itself and showing it's age. I didn't want to include the whole tree in the photo, that's what everybody else would do. I had a different veiw and wanted to capture the detail in the bark. The flowers that grow beneath it created a nice balance for my photograph.Pixelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09119560288478363636noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1494577269246375202.post-1547419905817349012009-06-02T09:28:00.001-07:002009-06-02T09:44:59.600-07:00Backyard Bliss<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwmBHnYeXPhF-VhLKepTHqarJS_wZIjL95e2biILLItJdhhZ27XeHzTJd3x2bUEULkAXgqCT0Mu8rvlILt3fuxlv7kZIj98XdGPAzFMxJ4ZO0QQ0qPGMPbw-75Rw0ApxIpFAOb1leoiRmj/s1600-h/flower+2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342768797367436258" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwmBHnYeXPhF-VhLKepTHqarJS_wZIjL95e2biILLItJdhhZ27XeHzTJd3x2bUEULkAXgqCT0Mu8rvlILt3fuxlv7kZIj98XdGPAzFMxJ4ZO0QQ0qPGMPbw-75Rw0ApxIpFAOb1leoiRmj/s320/flower+2.jpg" border="0" /></a>I have a flowering tree in the back yard. We just bought a house about a month ago so I'm still pretty proud of it :p I'm enjoying my time outside now that the weather is (usually) warm. I'm Bri,<br /><br />Welcome to my first attempt at blogging. I'm not great with words so when I saw the idea for a photo a day I thought what better way to blog?<br />I'm starting my photo blog with a picture of myself, a sort of photo-introduction.<br /><br />I will do my best to take a photo a day for one year and update at least once weekly. Throughout the next year I plan to capture anything around me that is important to me or that I find interesting or neat in hopes to become a better photographer and maybe learn a little more about myself and my photography style. I hope you stop by often. CiĆ o!Pixelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09119560288478363636noreply@blogger.com1
